If
you wants to setup a secure
site (using SSL), they have
two choices:
Use our
FREE generic site's certificate
Purchase
your own certificate
Use
our FREE generic site's certificate
The WebsiteOS "SSL Manager"
allows end users to use our Securewebexchange
generic SSL certificate.
Purchase
your own certificate
If you want your own certificate,
you can use the WebsiteOS SSL
Manager function to set up your
private SSL certificate.
Detailed information on how to
use SSL Manager to set up a private
certificate can be found in the
WebsiteOS online help.
The CSR (which will be generated
by SSL Manager) will have to be
sent to a Certificate Authority,
along with "Proof of Organizational
Name" and "Proof of
right to use Domain Name".
The "Proof of Organizational
Name" in most cases is a
copy of your company's registration
documents or certificate of incorporation.
Downloading
the certificate
After the Certificate Authority
generates the certificate, you
will be notified to download the
certificate. After the certificate
is downloaded, it has to be uploaded
to our servers via SSL Manager.
Directories for secure content
Once we receive the certificate,
a secure site will be setup for
your customer the next business
day.
Secure content must be placed
in the "secure" directory
located in the site's home directory.
CGI scripts are to be placed in
the "secure-cgi-bin"
directory.
